Splenic Overlook

Jennifer and I spent the weekend watching my Godson Benjamin. His parents wanted a weekend off and we just love the little guy so it worked out well for everyone. He was such a good boy. We had so much fun. On Saturday we took him to The Hyland Lake Park Reserve. This place is huge! We went there every once in a while when I was a kid and I knew he would enjoy it. I really wanted to take him to Underwater World but, I mentioned sharks and he was having none of it.

After spending the afternoon at the park and helping his Aunt Jennifer rake up leaves we took Benjamin to go see his cousins, A.J. and John. We had an awesome dinner with with Joe & Jen while the boys all played. My Mom and Dad even stopped by and visited for a little while. After a long day we headed for home. Benjamin was asleep about a 1/2 block from Joe & Jen's house. I think we tired the little guy out!

Sunday we took Benjamin to St. Rita's and learned a little bit about sacrifice and giving. After church we went to Mom & Dad's for lunch and football on Dad's HDTV. I left for work and Jennifer and Mom took Benjamin and A.J. to Seussical the Musical. I wish I could have gone but I heard they had a blast and somebody has got to pay the bills!

On a less enjoyable note Jennifer went to see a surgeon today and scheduled laproscopic surgery for Thursday. She is not been comfortable in over a month a is finally having a cyst removed from her spleen. Please say a little prayer for her around 9 am on Thursday.
